CLUB: Waipa R.C. @ Te Awamutu
Founded in 1915, the Waipa Racing Club has enjoyed many years of successful racing. It is based in Te Awamutu, known as the "Rose Town" of New Zealand. Along with Te Rapa, Cambridge, Te Teko & Taumarunui Racing Clubs, Waipa belongs to the Waikato which holds the majority of New Zealand’s horses in training. Waipa stage 5 meetings a year at Te Awamutu Racecourse as well as a number of trial days.

Te Awamutu Racecourse
As you enter Te Awamutu from Hamilton (north) take the first road on the right at the bottom of the hill (Racecourse Road), then approximately 100 metres on the right is the entrance to the Waipa Racing Club.
If you are coming from Cambridge simply turn right at the roundabout (road to Hamilton) and then Racecourse Road is approximately 500m on your left (before you start to go up the hill out of Te Awamutu).

Admission: Entry to all days is free.
Catering: There are 5 bars on course. The new course caterer ‘Gourmet Delicious’ provide wonderful fresh food and a wide variety in all rooms. They can accommodate any function with a great menu and a wide variety of refreshments. Wines are supplied by Millsreef Winery.
Hospitality: There are Hospitality Rooms for Sponsors, Birthday Parties or any Business Function.
Function/Conference Facilities: The Waipa Racing Club offers 6 different venues on course, available for a wide range of functions with plenty of off road, private parking and magnificent views. The largest room will host 220 people and the smallest 30. The most popular room, "The Rosetown Room", has recently been redecorated with modern decor.
