Excitement is building in the lead up to the Century City 2010 Wellington Cup Carnival. From glamorous fashions to heart stopping finishes, three great days where everyone comes to Trentham for a good time.

Trentham Music, Wine & Racing Festival – Saturday 23 January 2010

On track, already established as one of New Zealand’s best race days the 1st day of the Carnival showcases New Zealand’s Premier Sprint, the Group One Telegraph Handicap with a purse of $1,000,000 placing it in the top echelon of sprints in Australasia. With a support crew of four further black type races, it is a racing purists programme not to be missed.

Off track, it’s playtime with legendary music makers The Feelers taking centre stage as the headline act on the Wine Village Stage. Live music and free seating for over 1,000 people on offer all day long with 10 boutique wineries and gourmet food stalls.

Summer Festival Races – Anniversary Monday 25 January 2010

On track, features the Wellington Cup Prelude. Racing on Wellington Anniversary Day is witnessed by the ‘next generation’ of racing enthusiasts with a very significant focus on bringing the family to the Races.

Off track, we’re having a Teddy Bears Picnic. It’s a family favourite with FREE kids activities with plenty of face painting, bouncy castles, races for the kids, watermelon eating competition and more. Join in the family concert with Dan & Dani and smile in delight at Dress Smart Kids’ Fashion in the Field.

Century City Wellington Cup Day – Saturday 30 January 2010

On track, experience the sights and sounds of New Zealand’s biggest race day in terms of attendance with the highlight, the running of Century City 2010 Wellington Cup.

Off track, the impeccably dressed crowds move to the sound of Century City Fashion in the Field with the Supreme Winner enjoying 12 months of stylish motoring thanks to Jeff Gray BMW.

PLEASE NOTE: no admission to centre of the course will be permitted for Cup Day 2010, this includes access for gazebos and picnics. Only patrons with ticketing to corporate marquee precinct or Stella Artois Pavilion will be permitted access to the centre of the course on the day.
