Excitement is building in the lead up to running of the 106th Wellington Cup at Trentham this Cup Carnival. From glamorous fashions to heart stopping finishes, three great days where there is something for everyone at Trentham.
Trentham Wine & Racing Festival – Saturday 21 January 2012
On track, already established as one of New Zealand’s best race days the first day of the Carnival showcases New Zealand’s Premier Sprint, the Iconic Group One Telegraph Handicap placed it in the top echelon on sprints in Australasia. With a supporting crew of a further four black type races, it is a racing purists programme not to be missed.
Off track, it’s playtime with a sensational match of fine wines, great food and live music.

Interislander Summer Festival Family Day Races – Anniversary Monday 23 January 2012
On track, features the Wellington Cup Prelude. Racing on Wellington Anniversary Day is witnessed by the next generation of racing enthusiasts with a significant focus on bringing the family to the races.
Off track, it’s a family favourite with FREE kids activities and entertainment. Come along for plenty of face painting, bouncy castles galore, races for the kids, a slowest and more! Join in the family concert with The Funky Monkeys and smile in delight at Kids Fashion in the Field.

Pacific Jewellers Wellington Cup Day – Saturday 28 January 2012
On track, experience the sights and sounds of the Champagne Turf alive like only Cup Day can showcase with the running of the Pacific Jewellers Wellington Cup 2012.
Off track, the impeccably dressed crowds move to the GT Continental VW Fashion in the Field. The Stella Artois Pavilion is back with Katchafire and Ladi6 and the main acts for 2012.

PLEASE NOTE: no admission to centre of the course will be permitted for Cup Day 2012, this includes access for gazebos and picnics. Only guests with ticketing to corporate marquee precinct or the Stella Artois Pavilion will be permitted access to the centre of the course on the day. Please don’t bring any BYO alcohol on any of the race days as we will have to confiscate it.
