How did you first become involved in racing - Through pony club and then riding work at Wanganui for Kevin Thompson, Wayne Marshment and Neil Bradley.
First winner - Apollo Bay.
Best horses - Govicar, Cinder Bella, Rodin and King Of Ashford.
Favourite win and why - There have been a few, but I would have to say, Cinderbella’s win in the GROUP 1 Kelt Capital Stakes, it is the county’s richest WFA race and just the way in which she dealt to them, (great ride), a lot of people told me she could not win the WFA, I knew she could so it was very pleasing, Rodin’s Gp1 win was emotional, as he is part owned by my parents and family, along with some very special friends.
Favourite racecourse and why - That would have to be Trentham, a great track that gives every horse a chance, they win off the front and they win from the back, I have had some top class wins on the Trentham track, I love it. I also love to win on my home track Otaki.
Interests outside horseracing - When I have time I like to do a bit of gardening and the occasional shopping trip is always good for the mind.
