How did you first become involved in racing? After a successful equestrian background, then a career in banking the lure of the horse won out.
First winner - Royal Honour in 1982 when in partnership with Jim Gibbs.
Best horses - Zepherin; Tidal Light (3); Dungarvin; Field Dancer (2); Carson’s Cash; Tethys; Roysyn (2); Foxwood (2); Zonda (2); Cronus; One Under (2); Hades; Giovanna; Sixty Seconds; Macavelli Miss; Gaze are all Australasian Group I winners who bring back special memories.
Favourite win and why - Carson’s Cash – my first Group I winner in my own right piloted by my successful apprentice Vinny Colgan only 7 months after gaining his license.
Favourite racecourse and why - Ellerslie as I have trained 11 Group I winners on the course.
Interests outside horseracing - I am enjoying setting up a 50 acre agistment property which Sally and I have recently purchased and are building a home on.
