Vice Captain was held up for clear running in the early part of the straight.
Slave Trader had to be steadied near the 250 metres when crowded by Gunslinger which shifted in when not quite clear.
Amelita was held up for a considerable distance in the home straight.
Dead Ringer was unable to be ridden out over the concluding stages when awkwardly placed on the heels of Vice Captain.

A party of Stipendiary Stewards, Senior Riders, Club Officials and Trainers inspected the track. Following this inspection which revealed slip marks at various points of the track, Stewards abandoned the meeting.
