RACE 1: ADAGIO FOR FINE FOOD & CLOVERTONE MAIDEN (1100M)
JUDGE HENRY (M Carston) was slow over the early stages and continued to lose ground throughout the running finishing in a distant last place. The connections of JUDGE HENRY were advised that the gelding was under a bar for its racing manners due to its uncompetiveness. Favorite ICEBURG (J Todd) was reported not to have handled the prevailing heavy track conditions.

RACE 2: BIO FEED & CRT MCMILLANS FEEDS (1400M)
Favorite PEYOW PEYOW (D Walsh) was reported not to have been comfortable with the holding nature of the prevailing heavy track conditions.

RACE 3: SPAIN & SMITH SHEARING & TAILING CONTRACTORS AND STANDALONE TRADING MAIDEN (1100M)
The start of this event was delayed approximately 1minute 30 seconds due to NO EMPEROR (J Misbah) proving reluctant to load with the connections advised that the gelding was under a warning for its barrier manners. MATAI LAD (I Khairil) bounded as the start was made. AWESOME ARLY (M Carston) jumped outwards at the start making contact with VOLANTE (J Todd). MATAI LAD raced wide for the entire event. GOLDEN SPOT (J Bates) raced greenly on the bend near the 800m skying its head on several occasions when being restrained.

RACE 4: COUNTRY JEWEL AND MCDOWALLS SOUTHLAND (1200M)
OUR BEE JAY was declared a late scratching at 12.14pm due to the trainer believing that the gelding would not handle the sticky nature of the track which the Stewards accepted.
Near the 300m KIMBERLEY BOY (B Moore) ducked in when struck with the whip and had to be straightened, momentarily inconveniencing GLOBAL EMPEROR (D Walsh).

Race 5: JOHN EARL SADDLERY AND WAGHORNS COLOURPLUS MAIDEN (1200M)
DANZAHORSE (S Muniandy) began awkwardly.

RACE 6: SPEIGHT’S AND TRAVELLERS REST MAIDEN (2147M)
THAMES STREET (K Williams) and LOMBARDO (Z Zulkifli) bumped as the start was made. JUST LUCE (D Walsh) and ICE PACK (M Carston) also made contact when jumping away. JOHANNSON (C Johnson) over raced during the early stages. Favored runner JOHANNSON was reported to have not been comfortable with the prevailing heavy track conditions. POWER PACK (T Moseley) was reported to have lost its off fore racing plate during the running.

RACE 7: ADVANCE AGRICULTURE AND JOHN KING REAL ESTATE (2147M)
BELLA QUEEN (J Misbah) was slow to begin. PEGASUS BRIDGE (T Moseley) pulled hard over the early stages. MAGIC TRICK (Z Zulkifli) failed to handle the bend near the 1600m and ran wide. THE PRAWN STAR (S Muniandy) over raced in the early to middle stages making contact several times with PEGASUS BRIDGE. JARDENA (J Todd) was held up for several strides near the 600m when looking for clear racing room. THE PRAWN STAR and MAGIC TRICK brushed near the 350m.
Following the running of this event the track conditions were officially downgraded to Heavy 11.

RACE 8: NUTRI TECH, NIGHTCAPS CONTRACTING AND SCULLYS TRANSPORT (1400M)
As the start was made STING THEM (J Bates) jumped inwards on a severe angle crowding and hampering STRATEGIC TANK (J Morris), MISS FAIRWEATHER (J Todd) and SUNY DAY (J Misbah). As a result MISS FAIRWEATHER clipped a heel dislodging rider J Todd who was uninjured in this incident. As J Bates made every effort to keep his mount on a true line no further action was deemed necessary. MUFFIN COUP (D Walsh) raced wide for the entire event. The rider of SWEET ABOUT ME (I Khairil) was observed to relax his ride over the concluding stages and was beaten a short neck into 3rd place. Rider I Khairil in the presence of his employer Mr S Marr admitted a breach of Rule 866(1)(c) in that he failed to ride his mount out fully to the finish when it had a reasonable chance of finishing in third place. The Judicial Committee imposed a suspension from Sunday 20th September until Saturday 26th September inclusive. (3 days)

RACE 9: BOOTH AG & NIGHT ‘N’ DAY FOODSTORES (1400M)
THURSDAY DAWN (I Khairil) jumped outwards as the start was made and inconvenienced ARAPAHO CHIEF (J Todd) who was then slow over the early stages. SLIP STREAM (M Carston) was tightened between runners shortly after the start was made and then began to over race having to be steadied on two occasions. Near the 200m DISCOVERY BAY (S Muniandy) rolled in under pressure momentarily inconveniencing PARTEE’S OVER (J Morris) who had to change ground.
