RACE 1 – KEEP IT HOT WITH 92.8 MORE FM
INTRANSIGENT (R Myers) was slow to begin and made the first turn very awkwardly when racing greenly and lost ground when running wide. Approaching the 800 metres THE WONKY DONKEY (V Singh) had to steady off heels, became unbalanced and faltered losing ground. INTRANSIGENT ran wide rounding the final turn.

RACE 2 – MICKEY’S SUPER LIQUOR 1600
NO QUARTER GIVEN (J Parkes), PROMENADE (P Taylor) and PERKY ‘N’ READY (M Hills) were all slow away. FABULOUS PRINCESS (D Bradley) raced greenly in the run down the back straight and when being steadied hampered FLOWER OF FASHION (L Allpress) and THE BENEFACTOR (V Ho).
V Johnston, the rider of FIGURE AGAIN admitted a charge of careless riding after she allowed her mount to shift out over the final stages into the line of FLOWER OF FASHION (L Allpress) which had to check. After hearing all relevant submissions Ms Johnston had her jockey’s licence suspended by the Judicial Committee from the conclusion of racing on Sunday, 7 February, until the conclusion of racing on Saturday, 13 February - 4 days.
R Hannam, the rider of DESERT SABOTEUR admitted a charge of careless riding after he allowed his mount to shift in passing the 700 metres dictating THE BENEFACTOR (V Ho) inward, which then forced LA TEMPESTA (M Walker) inward into the line of PENNON (D Walker) which was ultimately checked and lost ground. After hearing all relevant submissions Jockey Hannam had his jockey’s licence suspended by the Judicial Committee from the conclusion of racing on Sunday, 7 February, until the conclusion of racing on Sunday, 14 February – 5days.

RACE 3 – J D WORKMAN & CO 1340
TUSCADELL (R Stam) was slow to begin. EMISSION (L Allpress) jumped outwards at the start. COST OF FREEDOM (M Walker) raced keenly in the early stages. EMISSION raced three-wide making the final turn. KOHI ROAD (D Walker) was held up and unable to improve for some distance rounding the turn. COST OF FREEDOM was held up in the early part of the home straight. Near the 200 metres COST OF FREEDOM was angled outwards to improve but shortly afterwards was hampered when MILES FROM NOWHERE (P Taylor) shifted in sharply when racing greenly. Also inconvenienced in this incident was THATZ DAVID (M Tanaka).

RACE 4 – G BRISTOL & SON 1340
ASCOLINI (R Hannam) was hampered and tightened for room at the start when horses either side shifted ground. LA CORUNA (M Vance) had to be steadied going into the 800 metre bend when racing keenly. CHEROB (K Collins) raced wide throughout. Following the running of the race, Jockey P Taylor, the rider of JACQUI’S BAC, reported to the Stewards on returning to the enclosure, that he believed he had been denied a fair start as his leg had become entangled with that of a barrier attendant in the stall immediately prior to the start which resulted in him losing considerable ground. A request for a ruling was put by the Stipendiary Stewards before the JCA and subsequently JACQUI’S BAC was declared a non-runner with all bets refunded.

RACE 5 – LOWE, SCHOLLUM & JONES 1200
