Vodafone Derby Day,   Saturday 3 March

The opening day of the Ellerslie carnival is highlighted by New Zealand’s richest Group I race, the $1 million Vodafone Derby for three-year-olds.

Derby Day provides a spectacular day of entertainment and hospitality, stunning fashion and family entertainment, along with a top class racing programme.

The Derby, arguably the most prized race in New Zealand, is supported by three other group races.

 

Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day, Saturday 10 March

A day to celebrate the iconic 3200m Auckland Cup and a spectacular racing programme.

In addition to the Auckland Cup, the racing menu includes the Group I Bonecrusher New Zealand Stakes, for the leading weight-for-age performers, while the country’s leading two-year-olds clash in the Group I Sistema Stakes.
