RACECOURSE: Arawa Park

Arawa Park, located in the heart of Rotorua City, is the home venue for Racing Rotorua and Rotorua & BOP Hunt Club.  The course boasts an excellent level of lounges, bar and betting facilities, with all patrons having free access to the main grandstand area.

The racecourse is located approximately 2 km from Rotorua on Fenton Street which is the main route in to Rotorua from the South.

Platinum Homes NZ Rotorua Cup Day is held on Saturday 7 May 2011; followed by the Rotorua Music, Wine & Racing Festival on Saturday 14 May 2011

Plate Day - October 2011

Featuring the Platinum Homes NZ Rotorua Challenge Plate and the Lion Red Plate, a Weight for Age sprint, both of which are Listed Events with stakes of $65,000.

Summer Festival Racing - December 2011

Admission is free, which includes access to the main (Members’) stand.  Children are catered for with free entertainment, a feature at all of the club’s Saturday or holiday racemeetings.

Admission: With the exception of Racing Rotorua’s Christmas meeting (December), course admission is free and allows access to the Members Stand.  Daily membership is available at $10 per day, which provides access to a prime lounge on the day.

Hospitality/Functions: Lounges are available for private corporate hosting at all racemeetings.  The excellent facilities available, including thermally heated lounges, are serviced by a resident caterer, The Catering Company, which ensures that the complex is in high demand for functions, conferences, rallies and displays.

Children: There's free entertainment at all Saturday or Holiday meetings.
