ACCESS TO SADDLING ENCLOSURE
Following consultation with the New Zealand Trainers’ Association & Racing Clubs, it has been agreed that entry to the Saddling Enclosures at all thoroughbred racing venues will be restricted to Licensed Trainers & Registered Persons. In conjunction with this directive, the minimum age for staff to enter these areas is 14 years unless a Stipendiary Steward has granted prior approval. In order to enforce this policy, Licensed Trainers and Licensed Persons must display their official NZTR ID card to gain access to the Saddling Enclosure areas on raceday.

RACESDAY STALLS:
Raceday Stalls are not to be reserved over the NZ Cup Meeting.
Given the probability of a high number of starters and the resulting pressure on tie-up stalls the reservation of tie-up stalls on raceday is prohibited over the NZ Cup Meeting. In the interests of fairness and co-operation Trainers are asked to work together in managing the use of tie-up stalls. It will be appreciated if horses can be returned to the Visitors/Permanent Stables as soon as possible after racing. Any reserved stalls will be released.

HORSE FLOAT PARKING:
All horse floats are to use the containment area.
Trainers and horse float operators are advised that it is a requirement of the CJC H&S policy that all floats unload and load within the confines of the contained Float Park. Horses must not be unloaded or loaded anywhere other than within this area. Horse floats must enter the Racecourse from the Steadman Road gate.

South West Corner (NZ Cup Day only):
On NZ Cup Day horse floats have the option of using an alternative entrance and Float Park available from the gate in the South West corner off Carmen Road. Fulton Hogan will be providing Traffic Management to enable as easy access as possible though this gate. Horse floats cross the paddock and park. Horses can then to be led across the bridge into the usual contained Float Park and on into the raceday tie-up stalls. Horse floats can still use the Steadman Road gate and the security has been briefed to provide priority access for horse floats.

VISITORS STABLES CONGESTION:
Trainers are asked to park horse floats on the paddock to the north side of the ‘New’ Visitors Barn so as to ease congestion in the walkway to the track. During track work people need to be observant to the fact that horses and being led and ridden to the track.

Stable-hand passes for those working on the day will gain access through the Float Park only. STABLE HAND PASSES DO NOT GAIN ENTRY ON RACEDAY and DO NO ENTITLE MEMBERS PRIVILEGES.

ENTRY TO THE COURSE:
Security will be in control of the entrance gates on all three days of the Meeting. Please ensure that you have your NZTR Licence pass or the correct entrance ticket to prevent embarrassment or difficulties at the gates. Cars are best to use the Steadman Road entrance and park in the areas provided in the Carriage Paddock.

RACEDAY SECURITY LICENCE DISPLAY:
To assist Security in ensuring that only authorised people are allowed into the raceday stalls area it is essential that all licence holders and licensed staff wear their licence badges so that they are clearly visible at all times. Security do not necessarily know trainers and other licence holders by sight and wearing licence badges so that they are easily seen will prevent any unnecessary embarrassment in accessing the stalls area.
